Painting their Vincent van Gogh inspired landscapes, applying the 4 main ways to show depth in a landscape painting.
Mrs. Weise teaches art to 6th and 7th grade students at Oak Creek East Middle School in Wisconsin. The art curriculum exposes students to drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, pottery and various other mixed media materials. Students also learn about the art practices, traditions and techniques of different world cultures.

5th grade: Georgia O'Keeffe inspired flowers (focusing on organic shapes and complementary colors)
6th grade: Vincent van Gogh inspired sunflowers (focusing on visual texture, expressive lines and the life/style of van Gogh)
7th & 8th grade: Abstract Animals (focusing on Pablo Picasso's abstract style, changing elements of design and creative thinking skills)
