Mrs. Weise teaches art to 6th and 7th grade students at Oak Creek East Middle School in Wisconsin. The art curriculum exposes students to drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, pottery and various other mixed media materials. Students also learn about the art practices, traditions and techniques of different world cultures.
Some of the 8th grade art lessons from the 2012-2013 school year:
1.) Still Life drawings- value, highlights, shadows, contour lines and observation.
2.) Victorian "Painted Lady" Architecture unit
3.) Panama traditional animal Molas- repetition, pattern, design, layers and shapes.
